Intervention: Implementation

The definitions published from the QUERI Glossary in Implementation Science do not include a foundational definition for Intervention.

The QUERI Glossary defines Implementation Intervention:[1]

A single method or technique to facilitate change and thereby adoption of best practice recommendations; e.g., an opinion leader, electronic clinical reminder, or interactive education program. It is also referred to as “uptake” or “adoption” or “change” interventions.
